Teachers' Magazine

Asmita, a bi-monthly magazine published by Vikramshila in Bengali, focuses primarily on pedagogical issues and various aspects of classroom transaction. Asmita is very popular because it provides a forum to grassroots teachers for contributing their own experiences and sharing problems faced by the teachers working in remote areas in isolation, and getting updated about the latest educational researches, several relevant issues and government programmes. A publication unit has so far brought out 11 children's story books and 5 documents on education.
