Our annual cultural fair was held in the
open this time. Madhusudan Mancha courtyard came alive with
sparkling performances by children - from dances, songs,
jugglery, recitation, to puppetry, drama and lots more.
Fair ideally highlighted the multi-faceted talents of children
with whom we work and showed that they are in no way different
from their privileged counterparts. In these two days, the
courtyard was filled with over 1500 people, enjoying the
programmes to the hilt, their hands coming together after
each performance.
Children brought the blank canvas to life with their colourful
and creative strokes- a completely novel experience for
them, which surely they are going to cherish forever..
We had come up with two nice little stalls, which showcased
our spectrum of work, and also had put up variety of products
(gel candles, folders, organic rice, some rural handicrafts)
made by our teachers and the young girls' group formed by
us, for display and sale. These two drew curious visitors,
and the encouraging sale of the products motivated the makers
no end!
